China's Golden Week: why a one-week holiday disrupts production longer

The holiday itself is one week. The pressure around it stretches much further into production and transport.

China's National Day holiday is shorter than Chinese New Year and easy to underestimate. Factories, domestic transport and export operations still face a rush before it and a crowded restart after.

Treating the planned completion date as the shipping date is the usual mistake. Inspection, rework, export packing, trucking and customs preparation still follow, and one missed step in the last days can push the shipment into the next operating cycle.

For time-sensitive orders, the buffer belongs before the holiday. A confirmed order only becomes a protected production slot once the materials are ready and the approvals are closed.
