• Contact form: name, optional company, email address and your message.
• RFQ form: name, company, business email, optional phone, product requirement and category, quantity, optional order frequency and target price, delivery country, optional city/postal code and date, whether you have a supplier, additional information.
• Attachments you choose to upload (specifications, drawings, photos, quotations), up to 5 files. Please do not include personal data that is not needed for the requirement.
• Technical data needed to deliver and protect the site, such as IP address and browser information processed by our hosting provider. To limit abuse, the email address of a submission is processed temporarily in server memory using a ten-minute rate-limit window.
• Your cookie choice, stored in your browser.

• Reviewing and answering your enquiry or RFQ and taking steps you request before a possible contract: GDPR Art. 6(1)(b) where you act on your own behalf; where you contact us as a representative of a business, Berg's legitimate interest in handling business enquiries, Art. 6(1)(f).

Form submissions are not added to newsletters or automatic marketing, and we do not make automated decisions or build profiles from form data. Providing information is voluntary, but without the required fields we cannot respond to your request.

• Lovable - website hosting and the server processing of form submissions.
• Mailjet (Sinch Mailjet SAS) - delivers each submission, with attachments, by email to office@berg-intl.com.
• Berg's business email service - receives and stores enquiries sent to office@berg-intl.com.
• Google Fonts - the site's typefaces are loaded from Google servers, which receive your IP address.
• Google Analytics and Google Ads - only if enabled on this site and only with your consent.
• Where a requirement needs China-side work, relevant details may be shared with Berg's own team in China to the extent necessary.

Some of the recipients above may process data outside the European Economic Area, including China-side work described above. Contact us for information about the safeguards that apply to a specific transfer.

We keep enquiry data for as long as needed to handle the enquiry and any resulting business relationship, and delete it afterwards unless a legal obligation (for example accounting rules, if a contract follows) or the establishment or defence of legal claims requires longer storage. Rate-limit records are held temporarily in server memory; the rate-limit window is ten minutes.

Independently of your cookie choice, the site keeps its own first-party counters so Berg can see which pages, services and articles attract interest. When a page opens, a service section is at least half visible for about two seconds, a service, RFQ or contact link is clicked, or a form is accepted by our email provider for sending, the browser sends only the event type, the page path (without query or fragment) and a fixed key such as the service or article name. The server adds one to an hourly total and stores nothing else.

No cookie, local storage identifier, visitor or session ID, IP address, browser details, referrer or form content is stored for this purpose, and visits are not linked across pages, so the totals cannot be used to identify or follow anyone. Bots and test environments are excluded where recognisable. Only authorised Berg staff can view the totals. Basis: Berg's legitimate interest in understanding interest in its content and services, Art. 6(1)(f). The totals are kept as long as they are useful for that purpose.

Separately, our hosting and database providers may keep short-lived technical logs of requests, which can include IP addresses, for security and operation of their infrastructure. These logs are not part of the counters and are not used by Berg for analytics.

Only after you choose Analytics, Berg records the sequence of public pages opened, fixed navigation and contact controls clicked, service and page sections viewed, scroll-depth milestones, foreground visible time, enquiry buttons seen, form starts, submission attempts, fixed error categories and enquiries accepted for sending within a visit. We also measure initial document load time and broad source, approved campaign and device categories. This helps us understand routes through the site and improve procurement enquiry paths. Basis: consent, GDPR Art. 6(1)(a). Collection is separate from the aggregate counters above and does not require Google Analytics to be configured.

A crypto-random visit reference and activity sequence are stored temporarily in this tab's session storage (berg_visit_v3), not in a persistent visitor cookie. A new visit starts after 30 minutes without recorded activity, at most after 24 hours, or when the tab session ends. No earlier activity is replayed when you opt in. Withdrawal stops collection and discards the browser's visit state.

Stored detail contains a temporary visit reference, consent/measurement version, event order and times, allowlisted page paths, fixed section/control keys and bounded measurements. These records are pseudonymous, not a record of unique people. Source and campaign information is reduced in your browser to approved categories; full referring URLs, unknown campaign text and advertising click IDs are not sent. Device means only a broad mobile/tablet/desktop category. We do not store names, email addresses, phone numbers, form content, IP addresses, full browser details, arbitrary page text, raw query strings or fragments, and we do not link visit records to named enquiries. We do not record session replay or fingerprint browsers. Only authorised Berg staff can read the detail. It expires after 29 days and automated daily deletion removes it within 30 days, including its timeline. Aggregate totals are kept separately for longer.

Visit span means first-to-last recorded activity and may include gaps. Visible time is an estimate of time with the page in the foreground, not proof of attention. Last seen section is not an exact exit point. Periodic updates can be lost when a browser closes. A visit with no recorded submission is not necessarily abandoned. Change or withdraw Analytics consent in Cookie settings.

• berg_consent (browser local storage, necessary): records your choice, the date and the notice version; asked again after 12 months.
• Analytics, only after opt-in and if enabled: Google Analytics cookies _ga and _ga_<ID>, up to 2 years.
• Advertising, only after opt-in and if enabled: Google Ads cookies such as _gcl_au, up to 90 days.

Separately, if Google measurement is configured and you opt in, we measure only: page views (page address without query strings or fragments), the start of an RFQ form, successful RFQ and contact submissions, and clicks on our email, phone and WhatsApp links. Each successful submission carries a random reference number generated by our server so it is counted only once; it is not derived from your name or email. No names, email addresses, messages, file names or other form content are sent to Google.

Analytics and advertising are off by default and no Google tag loads until you allow it. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time: Cookie settings.

You may request access, rectification, erasure, restriction, data portability, and object to processing based on legitimate interest. Where processing is based on consent, you can withdraw it at any time without affecting earlier processing. Write to office@berg-intl.com.
